Ticketmaster is adding tickets to TikTok—giving users a new way to buy event tickets. YPulse’s Summer Plans report data shows 63% of Gen Z plans on attending an event like a concert or festival this summer. In the new partnership, TikTok will allow users to purchase tickets directly through their app. Since Gen Z is using their favorite app as a search engine these days, the collab is ensuring that young consumers will be able to not only find out about events, but be able to secure a spot for them within the same platform. Ticketmaster’s new TikTok tool is allowing creators to search events and link them in their videos. On the app, “the link to the event will appear above the caption to the video and users will be able to click it to easily purchase tickets.” Although the feature is only available to a limited number of creators, Demi Lovato, OneRepublic, Usher, Backstreet Boys, and the WWE have already signed on.
