Fidelity is coming to Decentraland to teach young people about personal finance. The company announced this week it has opened a virtual eight-story building known as Fidelity Stack inside Decentraland with the goal of attracting young investors to its platform. Fidelity Stack features commerce districts, offices, and event spaces, and it’s aimed at 18-35-year-olds. Fidelity reported in 2021 that 18-35-year-olds accounted for nearly four million new Fidelity brokerage accounts, and has been actively engaging with young investors via its own Reddit subthread, a TikTok account, and now a building inside Decentraland. YPulse’s Metaverse trend research shows 74% of young consumers who play virtual world games (like Decentraland) say they like when brands open virtual stores / buildings in their virtual worlds.
