The hopeful message that “it gets better” really rings true according to a new study. Gay and bisexual teens are bullied less as they get older, which is partially due to increased anti-bullying efforts as well as a growing cultural acceptance over time. Although these findings are encouraging, progress still needs to be made; gay males may be bullied less often as they get older, but those of college age are still being bullied more than heterosexual males.
