Sprite is kicking off a global campaign aimed at Gen Z. The new “Let’s Be Clear” campaign focuses on, you guessed it, the soda’s clear appearance, tying its “transparency” to authenticity and self-expression. Four films will showcase young people challenging traditions and norms—one, for example, “shows real teens expressing their true selves, like a rainbow-polished rugby player, an amputee swimmer and a trans student using their preferred bathroom.” The content will run on TV, with shortened versions on social media. It’s the first global effort for the brand, and will also showcase their clear bottles made from 100% recycled plastic. Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) reports that in-home soft drink consumption has increased significantly in the last year, something that YPulse also saw in our U.S. research.
