The majority of EMEA kids are worried about climate change. According to new research from Cartoon Network, 91% of six-12-year-olds say they are concerned about climate change, and their most common feelings are “worry,” “fear,” and “sadness.” Over three fourths also say they want to learn more about climate change, and 83% want to do more to protect the environment. Cartoon Network’s Climate Champions campaign is encouraging young viewers to take part in eco-friendly challenges, and they report that over 300K have participated. Eco-conscious kids’ content is also beginning to trend. YPulse’s research shows that in the U.S. young consumers’ fears about climate change are impacting their purchases and their mental health.
