JanSport is addressing Gen Z’s anxiety about returning to school with a youth-inspired comedy series.

JanSport is addressing Gen Z’s anxiety about returning to school with a youth-inspired comedy series. With this year’s back-to-school season likely looking different as students inch back into in-person education full-time, JanSport is launching Disorientation—a four-part comedy series focused on navigating back-to-school jitters, family life, and experiences during quarantine. The series will be hosted by drag queen Jan Sport and feature TikTok stars Jay LoveCaroline Ricke, and Noah Miller. JanSport is also recruiting a young “chief mood officer” to elevate its social content, and the show will be promoted via organic posts on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. Fans are encouraged to submit their own comedy skits via #JansportDisorientation for a chance to be featured on the show. The 50-year-old backpack brand has been capturing the likes of Gen Z by tackling the issues they care most about (sustainability, mental health, etc.).
