Amazon is integrating new monetization tools in a major play for more YouTube and Instagram creators on its platform. As influencer recommendations on social media continue to drive sales for products, Amazon is upping its influencer game by actively recruiting more content creators to The Amazon Influencer Program. The program currently offers a variety of options including The Drop, Amazon Live, Amazon Affiliates, and Storefront. Now, Amazon is extending the program to launch new features that will help match brands with influencers for paid partnerships (currently being beta tested as Creator Connections), along with Creator Ads where influencers will appear on shoppable Amazon ads on various social media platforms. Influencers have noted that driving traffic to their channels on Amazon has been more difficult compared to YouTube and Instagram, and Amazon’s upcoming features could help bridge that gap.
