Venmo is introducing a cryptocurrency feature that will (hopefully) encourage users to start investing with their friends. YPulse told you that one of Gen Z and Millennials’ top financial goals in 2021 is to buy stocks and start investing. Now Venmo is encouraging users to do just that, by rolling out a new feature that supports the use of Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, and Litecoin. The feature will be available to some users today and “most customers” can start using it by the end of May. The app’s goal in adding the cryptocurrency feature is to get users more comfortable with investing by doing it in a space that they—and their friends—are already familiar with. As more brands start socializing investing for young consumers, Gen Z and Millennials will have more power and resources to feel confident starting their financial journey. (The Verge)
