Thanks to COVID, marketing to Gen Z may look different this year—but they’re still prioritizing issues important to them. While the pandemic has impacted Gen Z in various ways, it hasn’t actually changed their “core” behavior. If anything, it’s accelerated the trends that they’re already comfortable with. Most of the generation already “lives online” making the transition into online shopping much simpler. Issues like racial equality and sustainability are important to them and were heightened this year—and are fueling their purchases. YPulse’s Holiday Shopping report found that 60% of 13-39-year-olds want to buy more gifts with social good components over the holidays. (Retail Dive)
