Virtual influencer Miquela is getting her own show on Snapchat. We’ve been tracking virtual influencers for some time, and they’ve been blowing up during the pandemic. Starting this week, Snapchat will be airing “Get Real, Miquela,” a weekly creator show starring CGI influencer Miquela. According to LA-based digital studio Brud (Miquela’s creator), the influencer—who is always asked “Are you real?”—will explore the subjects of life, love, music, “shak[ing] off the trolls,” and calling out celebrities “who might not be 100% human either.” Miquela has five million social media followers and is the first virtual star signed to CAA. (Variety)
