Professionals are joining TikTok, young people have been using the app to post resumes, and now career coaches are getting on the platform to give advice to young job seekers. Popular accounts like @j.t.odonnell, @icathryn, @selfmademillennial, and @jennylogullo each have hundreds of thousands of followers. Their videos cover FAQs like how to write an “impressive” resume or what to do when a potential employer ghosts you, and give tips like how to figure out if a potential boss will be good to work for. One user who was able to secure a full-time job after watching several of a coach’s content said, “TikTok really helps a lot, especially for new grads as we live through this pandemic.” (NYTimes)
