Amazon could be the top spot young consumers shop at this holiday season—but ecommerce competition is ramping up. According to a Convey A survey, Amazon is the top choice for holiday shopping, followed by Walmart, Target, and Best Buy. However, recently “negative sentiment” for Amazon has been growing, with 31% saying the ecommerce giant has a negative impact on retail—up 24% from January. But among the shoppers who have a less positive opinion, 46% confessed they would still shop the site during the upcoming holiday season. YPulse’s exclusive holiday retail research (which we will be sharing in our upcoming Holiday Plans Unwrapped webinar) found that while Amazon is expected to be a top place where young consumers will be doing their holiday shopping, other competition is on the horizon.
