Young people globally are looking for more mental health tools and support. Vice’s research on their media brands’ audiences found that young people are more overwhelmed and anxious than they were before the pandemic, as their goals become “derailed,” they can’t physically see friends or potential partners as often. Many are seeking purpose and fulfillment through new hobbies, and the number “implementing self-care practices such as meditation, therapy and using mental health apps” nearly doubled between March and June. Throughout the pandemic, brands have been doing what they can to address and support young consumers’ mental health, and it will clearly continue to be a need. (VICE) |
