Students were all set for prom when Coronavirus happened—and now brands are finding ways to help. High schoolers see prom as a rite of passage and many of them already had their plans made, but COVID put an end to all that, so brands are stepping up to fill that void for them. Teen Vogue announced they will be hosting virtual prom next month on Zoom, and last week the uplifting YouTube channel “Some Good News” by John Krasinski hosted and deejayed a virtual prom using the hashtag #SGNProm, featuring surprise performances from Gen Z favorite Billie Eilish and the Jonas Brothers.
