Brands can now pay to trend on Reddit. The popular blogging community is launching Trending Takeover, an ad product that will let brands reach users on two of their most visited spots: the Search tab and Popular feed. With the new format—which is similar to Twitter’s trending moments—advertisers can run campaigns for 24 hours, allowing them to “align with conversations in real-time” and promote their campaign next to the largest trends on Reddit.” YPulse partnered with Reddit for research on The Power of Community and found that 69% of young Reddit users respect brands that make an effort to be on the platform.
