Millennials with kids are disciplining their own parents for “grandsharenting” on social media. According to eMarketer Inc., 55-to-64-year-olds make up 13% of Facebook’s U.S. users—a 4% increase from a decade ago—and they’re eager to share photos of their grandchildren on the platform. But a generational “tech rift” is brewing as young parents who grew up on social media, and know the privacy risks of being constantly online, are trying to limit those grandparents from exposing too much about their kids on social media.
