Social-investing apps are on the rise, as more Millennials put their money behind the causes they care about. According to Bank of America, 77% of wealthy Millennials either own are interested in “impact investments,” while the number of Apple and Android apps that mention the buzzy financial trend have jumped from 8,900 in 2015 to 12,903 last year. Startups like Motif let users invest in “themes” (the environment is the most popular among Millennials), and big institutions like Morgan Stanley have rolled out similar investing options. (WSJ)
