Disneyland’s soon-to-open Star Wars Land will be navigated via an interactive gaming app for kids (and nostalgic Millennials, of course). Starting this August, the Play Disney Parks app will ask visitors to choose the side of the Resistance, the First Order, or neither, assigning them “jobs” to complete throughout the park. The app can also “hack” droids’ memories and interact with door panels, scan cargo boxes to find out what’s inside, translate signs in other-worldly languages, and tune devices (like antennae) that transmit secret messages.
