Skittles released a Super Bowl ad for one person’s eyes only (hence why it couldn’t make our main article today). Instead of sharing the ad with the public, Skittles shared an 18-minute live stream of super fan Marcos Menendez watching the ad. He was allowed to explain it afterward, and apparently it featured David Schwimmer turning people into Skittles. The Facebook live stream accrued close to 50,000 views, which falls far behind other Super Bowl ads—however, the unexpected marketing move did generate plenty of press. (Adweek)
