A new pink beer is satirizing stereotypical female-focused marketing—and the internet is not having it. BrewDog’s “beer for girls,” Pink IPA, is their Punk IPA in different packaging. But their attempt to imitate lazy marketing just comes off as—well—lazy marketing. Twitter responses show that most see Pink IPA as a major marketing misstep, despite the fact that the beer is 20% cheaper for women and proceeds are donated to charities focused on fighting gender inequality.
