A-list actors are making changes in their contracts that force Hollywood to be more inclusive. Answering to Frances McDormand’s call in her Oscars acceptance speech, Brie Larson, Matt Damon, Michael B. Jordan, and Ben Affleck have all announced their (and their companies’) commitment to inclusion riders—a clause that ensures “racial and gender equality.” The Diversity Tipping Point generation is behind the change: Ypulse data shows that 83% of 13-33-year-olds think that TV shows and movies should make an effort to represent all races.
