Roseanne’s successful premiere is “a big deal” for linear TV in the streaming era. The Post-TV Gen is cutting the cord, but nostalgia entertainment is proving a successful draw for traditional networks. Not only did the revival’s pilot have 10% more viewers than the original show’s finale, but its ratings almost doubled the Will & Grace reboot premiere. The show could very well be “one of the most successful shows on TV this season.” (Time)
