German sneaker brand nat-2 is taking “sustainable apparel to a new level” creating shoes that will be made from recycled plastic bottles and mushrooms. To create the vegan, and apparently, gluten-free shoes, they are teaming up with designer Nina Fabert of Zvnder which has a line of products made from a special leather-type textile of tree fungus. Environmental-friendly fashion is rising through the demands of socially-conscious young consumers, and more than two in five told us they are more likely to buy a product labeled as “sustainable.” (Adweek)
