The new campaign and name change for Boy Scouts leaves off the word “boy.” The newly-dubbed Scouts BSA’s “Scout Me In” campaign is part of the organization’s ongoing efforts to go gender-neutral for the Genreless Generation. They changed their policies to allow transgender and LGBTQ children to join as well as girls. Since the decision, over 3,000 girls have joined Cub Scouts, to the chagrin of the Girl Scouts who are also in the midst of a rebrand. Girl Scouts will be expanding their programming to include more STEM and outdoors activities. (MediaPost)
