BuzzFeed is betting on Twitch to bring in the viewers they weren’t getting on Facebook Live. BuzzFeed’s Facebook Live video views were falling fast so they sought out other platforms—and Twitch is winning with their young viewers. Twitch is known for their esports streaming, but more publishers are using the platform to stream non-video-game-related content and reach a new audience. BuzzFeed has posted livestreams of the bottom of the ocean, election coverage, and royal wedding footage to Twitch recently. (Digiday)
