China is “the powerhouse” for playthings, but as their wages rise, their workforce ages, and production speeds up—that could change. In addition to those problems, the industry could be hit hard by changing relations between the U.S. and China. Tariffs could lead manufacturers to move their operations to countries like Bangladesh, Cambodia, and India.
