More young consumers ordering delivery could be a bad omen for food companies.

More young consumers ordering delivery could be a bad omen for food companies. A new report from UBS predicts that online food delivery could make up 10% of the food services industry by 2030. UBS explains that “Online ordering has started to become the norm,” and Millennials are driving the trend: The demo was three times as likely to order delivery than their parents. Companies that mainly sell ingredients or ready-made meals will have to “redirect, or at least diversify, sales to new avenues of growth” to survive the shift to online ordering. (Business Insider)
