Voice assistants are the norm for Generation Voice Activated, but kids and teens are talking to different devices. While 98.9% of under-11-year-old voice assistant users talk to smart speakers, just 49.3% of 12-17-year-olds do. Since teens are more likely to own smart phones, they’re also more likely to speak to them, rather than smart speakers, though teen use is expected to grow. In the meantime, companies are catering to kids with devices like the Echo Dot Kids Edition. (eMarketer)
