Yesterday’s video games are making a comeback. An NPD video game industry analyst said that one in five consoles sold this year in the U.S. has been a retro device, thanks to gaming companies capitalizing on Millennial geeks’ nostalgia. Nintendo’s NES Classic and Super NES Classics were runaway successes and PlayStation is debuting a PlayStation Classic for the holiday season. Games like Crash Bandicoot are getting long-awaited reboots, and arcade-style devices are seeing success. (NYT)
