Social media is building up and breaking down teen girls’ self-image. A new survey from Common Sense reveals that 35% of teen girls are worried about getting tagged in an unattractive photo, 27% feel stressed about how they look in posted photos, and 22% feel bad about themselves if their photos are ignored. However, the silver lining is the rising #nofilter trend encouraging girls to show and accept their true self through postings—a trend we covered in the Social Media Illusion. (CNN)
