American Eagle is experimenting with (non-alcoholic) fancy drinks to pull teens into stores. Our Experiencification trend found that 45% of 13-17-year-olds are interested in cafes or restaurants in stores. Now, American Eagle—already one of teens’ favorite clothing brands—is embracing the café concept with Drink, a section selling “small batch, regionally-relevant entrepreneurial beverages” like maple water, kombucha, and elderflower soda in their Times Square location.
