Startup “Kit” is letting influencers create shoppable collections and pocket the profits. YouTubers like Casey Neistat and Tiffany “IHasCupcake” Garcia use the new platform to put together sets of personal favorite products for their fans; even creating entire product collections that correspond with a single YouTube video. Creators are raking in all of Amazon’s affiliate earnings, with some reportedly making up to six figures a year. Kit is currently “pre-revenue,” but investors showed their faith in its profitable future with a $2.5 million seed round. (Tubefilter)
