Druski is making Saturday Night Live history. Druski has built his following over the years through viral character sketches and his βCoulda Beenβ satirical comedy series universe. And next month, the comedian will become the first digital creator to host the show, joining this seasonβs lineup that has already featured New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson, Dakota Johnson, and Shane Gillis (yikes, IYKYK!). The move reflects how late-night TV has been turning to internet personalities to connect with younger audiences. Both MrBeast and Jake Shane have had appearances on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, while Brittany Broski stopped by Late Night with Seth Meyers back in July. Even SNL has taken on cast members with big social media followings, including Jeremy Culhane, Veronika Slowikowska, and most recently, Grace Reiter. But bringing a digital creator in to host the entire show marks a new step. (TheWrap)
