Northern Ireland is launching a “road ready” campaign for young drivers.

Northern Ireland is launching a “road ready” campaign for young drivers. Earlier this year, the country announced a big change in licensing (the first in 70 years) going into effect in October, which includes a six-month learning period. While it may make it feel harder for young people to start driving, the campaign is emphasizing that it’s all about safety. After all, data from regions with similar Graduated Driving Licensing programs shows they “have reduced young driver road deaths by over 20%.” The ad poses a young driver in a car full of soft padding that strips away when he begins to drive, while sharing the new, temporary restrictions.
