KFC is making the “fried chicken and wine” pairing an IRL experience.

KFC is making the “fried chicken and wine” pairing an IRL experience. In collaboration with La Vieille Ferme, the brands are opening Coq au Vin, a limited-time wine bar in London running over the August Bank Holiday weekend. The idea plays off La Vieille Ferme’s long-running reputation as “Chicken Wine,” thanks to the chicken on its label. (The joke became so popular that the brand actually swapped their label and released a limited-edition “Chicken Wine” bottle in 2024.) Now, the “Chicken Wine” label is making another comeback exclusively for the pop-up where guests can pair KFC favorites with different La Vieille Ferme wines. The activation is yet another example of KFC turning food into something young consumers can experience, photograph, and of course, share on social media, following recent stunts like its pickle-themed nail bar in France.
