To Gen Z’s delight, froyo is popular (again) in the U.S. and the U.K.

To Gen Z’s delight, froyo is popular (again) in the U.S. and the U.K. Bloomberg data shows frozen yogurt servings sold in the U.S. jumped 26% in the year ending March. Research and Markets reports the dessert has become a more common addition on British menus, too. British brands in particular have been targeting Gen Z by leaning into fun flavors, slick branding, and collabs with local influencers and discovery pages like Secret London. The comeback fits neatly into Gen Z’s interest in third spaces: froyo shops offer an easy, low-pressure place to meet up and grab a treat, which many brands have been showing off in their marketing. The dessert is also getting a modern wellness makeover, as newer franchises highlight protein, probiotics, and other health-adjacent benefits that resonate with Gen Z’s ongoing obsession with health.
