Gen Alpha has $1.1B in spending money.

Gen Alpha has $1.1B in spending money. A new report by Beano Brain shows 7-14-year-olds in the U.S. have an abundance of disposable cash on their hands, with 93% regularly receiving money to spend. (This shouldn’t be much of a surprise thoughβ€”birthdays and holidays are the same for every gen!) Nearly all Gen Alpha kids think shopping is exciting and/or fun, and 84% prefer the in-person shopping experience because they like to touch or feel products before committing to spendingβ€”so 72% prefer shopping in real stores over online (23%). Almost all (95%) like to shop in environments where they don’t feel rushed and can spend time browsing around, too. YPulse data shows 56% of 8-12-year-olds go shopping at the mall monthly, especially because stores double as social spaces where they can hang out with friends. (Beano Brain)
