Gen Z feels mounting stress about debt and household finances.

Gen Z feels mounting stress about debt and household finances. According to a new study by Spinwheel, 72% of Millennials and 74% of Gen Z agree that thinking about debt is overwhelming, compared to the 57% average of all U.S. adults surveyed. And 50% of Gen Z avoid looking at their household finances, compared to 28% of respondents overall. Gen Z also feels more financial pressure because of the number of payments they have to make, and less about the grand total they owe. This doesn’t mean young people are avoiding hard conversations around debt or finances: The study shows that 20% of Gen Z are using AI to access financial information, while 26% have asked their friends and family members for financial advice.
