British Gen Z are frustrated with high service fees on food delivery platforms. According to data from YouGov, 40% of British adults think that food delivery service fees are too high, with that number jumping to 54% among Gen Z. Another 42% of Gen Z dislike that menu items cost more on delivery apps, compared to 29% of all adults. High service fees only add to the financial burden young people are feeling, especially as they juggle other costs. Still, Gen Z loves a little treat, and something like food delivery can be a small luxury to look forward to when traditional luxuries are out of reach. YPulse data shows that young Europeans are already treating food shopping more strategically by cutting costs, but aren’t looking to give up eating out when they can. (YouGov)
