Some Gen Z are making money from their analog hobbies.

Jun 01 2026

Some Gen Z are making money from their analog hobbies. YPulse has told you all about young people’s obsession with activities that get them off their phones whether it’s crocheting, reading, painting, or going to more events. Now, some crafty young people are turning their analog obsessions into side hustles by selling art prints, stickers, postcards, and more. One 32-year-old animator makes more than her actual day job through a stationary business she launched after creating a snail mail club. And though it’s not totally analog, one 28-year-old product manager inspired by snail mail clubs used Claude Code to create Postcard Press, an app that creates digital postcards and sends them through a third-party print and delivery service. Since its launch in December, more than 100 postcards have been sent on the app. Sometimes, especially with all the social content, “analog” is about the vibe—not just total tech detachment.
