Remezcla is moving from a culture into a streaming service. Remezcla Más launched across Roku, Fire TV, and Apple TV last week as a bilingual content hub for Hispanic Gen Z and Millennials. The programming tops 10K hours across music, sports, and movies, with on-demand and live channels, too. It’s also hosting livestreamed concerts like Nuevo Noise and Spotlight Sessions, featuring artists like Bad Bunny and Karol G, and creator-led shows and live World Cup programming are soon to come. Remezcla identified that bilingual, bicultural viewers are underserved on many streaming services, yet they lead social trends and define music charts. Their parent media company states that its network already reaches 60% of U.S. Hispanics monthly, but the challenge for this new platform lies in convincing viewers to download another app. (ADWEEK)
