Roblox is pushing its short-form video feed further. The platform’s “Moments” feature, which mirrors TikTok but is only content recorded in the game, seems to be a beta expansion of the “Clip It” feature launched in March 2024 (which had racked up over a billion views before the end of the year). The new video feed roll out satisfies young users’ preference for short video content as entertainment, and as it’s launching only 13-years-and-older, it’ll likely feature ads. But it also functions for developer promotion, letting game-in-game creators get more visibility to their projects—matched with an announcement for higher payout on those games. (tubefilter)
