Though Ypulse research shows that the majority of Millennials do want to own cars, there are still signs that the drive (ahem) to get behind the wheel is not as strong for young people today. The amount of 20-24-year-olds who have driver licenses has been dropping, going from 91.8% in 1983 to 82% in 2008, and 76.7% in 2014. The number of 16-year-olds with driver licenses has seen a similar decline over time as the process to obtain a license has become more difficult. The rising ridesharing industry and the financial limitations of the generation are being blamed. (CNBC)
