While most Gen Z probably started using AI tools for homework help, chatbots have since evolved into something much more personal—a private, judgment-free space where they can seek advice, process their feelings, and even find emotional support. We already know that they’re treating AI as a life coach: YPulse’s AI (Artificial Intelligence) report shows 59% of 13-17-year-olds and 65% of 18-24-year-olds say they use it for general advice. Among them, therapy and emotional support rank high on the list of things Gen Z turns to AI for—fifth for teens and fourth for young adults who’ve asked AI for general advice....
