TV shows from the ‘90s are being revived to appease nostalgic Millennials, and now Nickelodeon is getting on board. The network—which has increased their 2-11-year-old audience by 4% this first quarter—has announced upcoming TV movies based off of 1990s game show Legends of the Hidden Templeand Hey Arnold!, the animated series that premiered in 1996. Executives are aiming to “charm older fans but also spark new interest from their children.“ They’ve also been targeting the new generation with digital content. Game Shakers, a series about young female app entrepreneurs, has accompanying apps that have been downloaded on 27 million devices. (Variety)
