Gen Z singles reportedly aren’t interested in using AI dating app features.

Jul 17 2025

Gen Z singles reportedly aren’t interested in using AI dating app features. A new Bloomberg Intelligence survey found that young users feel uncomfortable with features like AI-generated bios, message suggestions, and profile photo editing—tools that dating apps hoped would improve the experience. Nearly half of respondents said they don’t need AI’s help creating a profile or starting a conversation, meaning that these AI tools might not be solving real user problems young people may have. YPulse data backs this up, showing 38% of 18-24-year-olds would dislike it if a brand used AI in dating apps, and they’re opposed to using the tool for things like writing bios and practice chatting. But with many saying dating feels harder today, and some even open to AI companions, Gen Z’s stance on AI in dating could still be evolving. (Bloomberg)
