A new toy aims to teach children to thrive in a tech-centric culture using physical play. Cubetto is a small plywood box on wheels, with a small computer on the inside, that can follow a path on a large, colorful interface. The goal is to lay out left, right, and go commands using colored blocks to guide the box back home. The toy, which is currently on Kickstarter, has been designed for ages three and up, and aims to cultivate key coding skills. According to the developers: “coding is a basic 21st century literacy.” (Springwise)
