Generation Z is setting themselves apart by reshaping the world of social media and technology. A recent research study on 14-17-year-olds found that they prefer communication on messaging apps that “don’t leave a paper trail,” and choose to share their lives on more personalized social media networks—choosing Snapchat over a more public Facebook or Twitter platform. Their desire for more privacy most likely stems from the fact that 42% said social media directly impacts how they feel about themselves. The study also found that 63% of Gen Z are concerned about privacy with online transactions, more than Millennials (58%). (CBS News
