Morgan Spurlock is investing in “femme-centric” web series for Millennials. The media maverick called Millennial women “the most educated generation in the history of this planet,” account for $840 billion in annual buying power, “share content continually” and proclaimed that “[m]ore millennial women watch Sunday Night Football than ‘The Bachelorette.’” He believes there’s a hole in the market with the demographic, and says it’s time to focus on “smart content.” His three new digital shows focus on empowerment: Sexish is a sex and body positive show for women, Present Tense will tell stories of alternative cultures, and What We Teach Girls will evaluate the education and clichés girls face.
