Speaking of cars, a study by eBay motors revealed that Millennials are forming an “emotional attachment” to their vehicles, and 40% are going as far as naming their cars. According to the research, names varied from Ol’Faithful to Baby to Bob, though naming the car it’s color, “Red” is also popular. The trend might be due to the fact that they’re keeping cars longer: the average age of registered light vehicles has gone from 8.4 years in 1995 to 11.4 years in 2014. Owners are also taking advantage of the convenience of buying auto parts online, and “[e]ven among Millennials, many are doing minor work—lights, tires, brakes—themselves.” (Business Insider)
